Politics as Usual is a wild, multiplayer card game that lets players run the campaigns of their favorite candidates in a bid for the White House. Three to six players each choose their favorite Candidate and use Slander, Edge, and Campaign cards to outmaneuver one another to win the important Issues of the Campaign. Each Candidate has a unique special power and some political Favors that are used to give him or her the advantage at critical points in the Campaign.

This amazing and successful original card game comes from the creative mind of Dan Verssen, designer of zillions of games, including Warfighter and 1500: The New World

This will be an complete update of the first edition of the game that was first released in 2005 with new and expanded rules, along with new Candidates and Campaign Cards to reflect modern elections. The design continues to be in process, and some or all of the cards shown here may be changed or even removed in the published version of the game.

Candidate Cards - Each Candidate card gives the player a special power that is unique to that Candidate. Each Candidate also begins the game with a specific number of favor tokens noted on the bottom of their card.

Campaign Cards - Campaign cards are played by each Candidate to win Issue cards. There are three types of Campaign cards: Momentum, Edge, and Slander. Each card  gives you either a value towards winning the issue, an effect to hurt another player, or the ability to effect cards played against you.

Issue Cards - Issue cards, when won, give you votes towards you winning the election! Each Issue card is worth a different number of votes so choose wisely how many of you campaign cards you want to use to try and win those votes. Watch out for Negative votes as well, as those count against your total votes!
